There will be a Public Hearing of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday,
October 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the City of Nederland Bob Hinson Building, 1903
Atlanta Avenue, Nederland, Texas for the purpose of receiving comments concerning
proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance.
1. CALL THE PUBLIC HEARING MEETING TO ORDER
2. AMENDMENT REQUEST
• To hear and discuss the request for amending: Section 11.4 “R-1, single
family residential district regulations” revising verbiage on accessory
buildings.
• To hear and discuss the request for amending: Section 12.2 – “Schedule of
residential height and area regulation table” regarding accessory building
height.
• To hear and discuss amending Section 30 – “Definitions” adding and
defining accessory building height
• To hear and discuss the request for amending Section 13.2- “Schedule of
permitted uses” on all types of dwelling units and where they should be
permitted.
• To hear and discuss amending Section 26. – “Zoning board of appeals”
correcting the term length.
