agen 06-28-21NEDERLAND CITY COUNCIL AGENDA NOTICE is hereby given of a regular meeting of the Nederland City Council to be held on Monday, June 28, 2021, 4:30 p.m., at the Nederland City Hall, 207 North 12th Street, Nederland, Texas, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. The City Council reserves the right to retire into Executive Session concerning any of the agenda items whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified pursuant to Texas Government Code, Chapter 551. This meeting will be OPEN to in-person attendance by the public; however due to the spacing restrictions in the City Council Chamber, masks are encouraged. The City will continue to provide citizens an alternative method to attend and participate in City Council meetings. Members of the public can participate remotely via Zoom Teleconferencing. Citizens may join the Zoom Meeting by clicking on the Virtual Council Meeting https link on the City of Nederland’s website or calling the Zoom Call in Number and entering the Meeting ID# on the City of Nederland’s website. 1. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a councilmember so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent agenda and considered separately. a. Consider action re-appointing Paul Hussey to the Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of Appeals. ii. Consider action re-appointing Jerry McNeill to the Civil Service Commission. iii. Consider action re-appointing Steve Gentile, Ron Minaldi, and Boyd Meier to the Construction Appeals Board. b. Consider action approving a work authorization with Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. for the 2021 Flexible Pavement Rehabilitation (hot mix overlay) project. c. RECONVENE Reconvene into regular session and discuss and take action, if any, on items discussed in Executive Session. 7. APPOINTMENT a. Consider action authorizing the appointment of the City Clerk, Director of Finance, Police Chief, City Attorney, and City Judge in accordance with the City Charter. b. Consider setting the monthly compensation of the City Attorney and City Judge. c.
