NOTICE is hereby given of a meeting of the Parks Advisory Board to be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at
12 p.m. at the City of Nederland Recreation Center, 2301 Ave H., Nederland, Texas for the purpose of
considering the following agenda items.
1. U CALL THE MEETING TO ORDER
2. UAPPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
3. DISCUSSION/POSSIBLE ACTION:
a. Discussion/possible action regarding reimbursement stipulations for utility usage for
Youth Sports.
b. Discussion/possible action regarding a request from Randy Rich to host a Summer Futsal
League utilizing the Recreation Center.
c. Discussion/possible action regarding a request from Keith Barrow to host a Summer Six
A Side Soccer league at the Doornbos Park Soccer field.
d. Discussion/possible action regarding a request from A.S.K. for the usage of the
classroom and gym for Taekwondo and Basketball.
e. Discussion/possible action regarding a Softball Field Usage and Rental Policy.
4. REPORTS:
a. Report on the status of the Summer Swimming Pool season set up and C.O. Wilson and
Central end of year parties.
b. Report on “Light of the Sky on the 4th of July” Fireworks show.
c. Report on the Dodgeball Tournament on June 23, 2012.
d. Report on the status for “Summer in the City” June 9, 2012.
e. Report on the status of “Water Safety Day” at the Nederland Swimming Pool on May 26,
2012.
