CITY OF NEDERLAND CONSTRUCTION BOARD OF APPEALS MINUTES MEETING September 12, 2017 The meeting was held September 12, 2017, at the City of Nederland D. Bob Henson Office Building, 1903 Atlanta Avenue, Nederland, Texas and was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Boyd Meier, Chairman. MEMBERS PRESENT: Boyd Meier, Steve Gentile, Ron Minaldi, Mitchell Macon, Mike Spell and David Knight MEMBERS ABSENT: Bill Wills and Danny Delahoussaye CITY STAFF PRESENT: George Wheeler, Chief Building Official and Beth Merren, Inspections Department Secretary OTHERS PRESENT: James Wimberley APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Steve Gentile and seconded by Mitch Macon to approve the minutes of the May 23, 2017 meeting. All voted aye. PROPERTIES A. Dilapidated and Unsafe Structures: Located at 3022 Canal Avenue, Space 1 and 2, described as Lot 2, Block 18I, Tract 4, Port Arthur Land Company. Mr. Wimberley appeared as representative for Eric and Patricia Kimball, property owners of the non -conforming mobile home park. After a full discussion a motion was made by Steve Gentile and seconded by Mitch Macon to recommend to City Council that; (1) travel trailer, located in Space 1, be removed from the mobile home park by the Kimballs; (2) Current ownership of the dilapidated and unsafe trailer located in Space 2 to be sent to the City Council for a demolition hearing; and (3) Stop work order issued by the Building Official on August 16, 2017 for unpermitted repairs to unsafe trailer located in Space 2 remain in force until demolition hearing before City Council. All voted aye. COMMUNICATIONS None ADJOURN There being no other business a motion was made by Steve Gentile and seconded by David Knight to adjourn the meeting at 5:58 p.m. All voted aye.
