NOTICE is hereby given of a meeting of the Parks Advisory Board to be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012
at 12 p.m. at the City of Nederland Recreation Center, 2301 Ave H., Nederland, Texas for the purpose of
considering the following agenda items.
1. U CALL THE MEETING TO ORDER
2. UAPPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
3. DISCUSSION/POSSIBLE ACTION:
a. Discussion/possible action regarding a Softball Field Usage and Rental Policy.
b. Discussion/possible action regarding usage of the building for Twirl America.
c. Discussion/possible action regarding a Bench/Park Equipment Sponsorship policy.
d. Discussion/possible action on a request from Brian English to utilize the gym for a Fall
High School league.
e. Discussion of upcoming project “National Night Out” for October 2, 2012.
f. Discussion/possible action regarding a request for their Annual Bike-A-Thon at Doornbos
Park for September 28, 2012.
g. Discussion/possible action regarding the use of Doornbos Park for a Cross Country meet.
h. Discussion/possible action regarding use of Croppo Park for HAM Radio usage for Scouts
Jamboree.
4. REPORTS:
a. Report on “Light of the Sky on the 4th of July” Fireworks show.
b. Report on the status of Banners for Boston Avenue for the Nederland Heritage Festival.
