MINUTES
5:00 P.M. November 8, 2022
I. MEETING
The meeting was held Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the City of Nederland D.
Bob Henson Office Building, 1903 Atlanta Avenue, Nederland, Texas and was
called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chairman Scott Watjus.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Scott Watjus, Dylan Fairley, and Lance Howell
MEMBERS ABSENT: Alex Rupp and Mark Byars
CITY STAFF PRESENT: George Wheeler, Chief Building Official and Beth
Merren, Inspections Department Secretary
OTHERS PRESENT: Stephen Hemelt and Kenny Minz
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Dylan Fairley and seconded by Lance Howell to approve
the minutes of the January 18, 2022 meeting. All voted aye.
3. REQUEST TO AMEND FOOD TRUCK ORDINANCE
a. Keith Bass, owner of The Food Dude mobile food truck, made a request to the
City to remove the special event requirement from the existing food truck
ordinance. After a full discussion, a motion was made by Dylan Fairley and
seconded by Lance Howell to send to City Council a recommendation to
approve the request to remove the special event requirement from the existing
food truck ordinance. All voted aye.
4. COMMUNICATIONS
None.
5. ADJOURN
There being no other business a motion was made by Lance Howell and seconded
by Dylan Fairley to adjourn the meeting at 3025 p.m. All voted aye.
