NOTICE is hereby given of a regular meeting of the Nederland City Council to be held on Monday,
December 19, 2022, 4:30 p.m., at the Nederland City Hall, 207 North 12th Street, Nederland,
Texas, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. The City Council reserves the
right to retire into Executive Session concerning any of the agenda items whenever it is considered
necessary and legally justified pursuant to Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.
This meeting will be OPEN to in-person attendance by the public; however due to the spacing
restrictions in the City Council Chamber, masks are encouraged. The City will continue to provide
citizens an alternative method to attend and participate in City Council meetings. Members of the
public can participate remotely via Zoom Teleconferencing. Citizens may join the Zoom Meeting
by clicking on the Virtual Council Meeting https link on the City of Nederland’s website or calling
the Zoom Call in Number and entering the Meeting ID# on the City of Nederland’s website.

3. CONSENT AGENDA—All consent agenda items listed are considered to be routine by the
City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these
items unless a councilmember so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the
Consent agenda and considered separately.

c. Tax Assessor Collection Report – November 2022
d. Consider action authorizing the closure of various City streets for the Nederland Heritage
Festival activities.
4. REGULAR AGENDA
a. Consider action approving Resolution No. 2022-11, ratifying the action of the Nederland
Economic Development Corporation’s Board of Directors in regard to the purchase of 219
Twin City Highway and 1118 Atlanta Avenue.
b. Consider action authorizing a Request for Proposals for the Operation of the Nederland
Swimming Pool.
c. Consider action authorizing the solicitation of bids for the Doornbos Park Parking Lot
Rehabilitation project.
d. Consider action authorizing a Request for Qualifications for grant administration and
management services associated with CDBG Disaster Recovery Funding, Hurricane
Harvey DR-4332.
e. Consider action approving Schaumburg & Polk, Inc.’s Letter for Reimbursement
regarding the Hodgson Road Lift Station Reconstruction project.

Reconstruction project.
g. Consider action approving Ordinance No. 2022-28, amending Appendix “A” – Zoning of
