04-17-23 AgendaNEDERLAND CITY COUNCIL AGENDA NOTICE is hereby given of a regular meeting of the Nederland City Council to be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, 4:30 p.m., at the Nederland City Hall, 207 North 12th Street, Nederland, Texas, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. The City Council reserves the right to retire into Executive Session concerning any of the agenda items whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified pursuant to Texas Government Code, Chapter 551. Members of the public can participate remotely via Zoom Teleconferencing. Citizens may join the Zoom Meeting by clicking on the Virtual Council Meeting https link on the City of Nederland’s website or calling the Zoom Call in Number and entering the Meeting ID# on the City of Nederland’s website. 1. Consider action authorizing the closure of Boston Avenue between 12th Street and 14th Street and all intersections on Saturday, June 10th for the NEDC’s Summer Market event. c. Discussion and possible action regarding the request to re-zone property located at 2120 Helena Avenue (the corner of Helena Avenue and 22nd Street) described as the SW ¼ Lot 1, Block 2 of Cottage Groves from property zones (C-2) neighborhood retail to R-3 (multi- family medium density) for the construction of apartments. d. Receive report regarding expanding and adjusting the Marion & Ed Hughes Public Library’s hours of operation. e. Consider action approving a request from Tri-Con, Inc. to waive utility charges associated with a water leak. f. Consider action approving an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Nederland and Jefferson County for road improvements. g. Consider action amending the City of Nederland Personnel Policy Manual – vacation leave. h.
